More than 500 runners and sports enthusiasts from Bago City and other nearby areas in Negros Occidental participated in the first ‘Kabarangay Run’ organized by Distileria Bago, Inc. (DBI), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ginebra San Miguel Inc. (GSMI) for the benefit of ABS-CBN Bantay Bata 163 Negros.
The sporting event, dubbed ‘Takbo Para sa Kabataan’, was held at DBI, GSMI’s distillery plant in Bago City, which also celebrated its 20th anniversary.
Employees and guests participated in the 5 and 10 kilometer runs, all in the spirit of fun and camaraderie. Winners in the different categories were given medals, cash prizes and GSMI products.
Proceeds went to the feeding project of ABS-CBN and Bantay Bata 163 Negros for DBI’s host communities.
