GINEBRA SAN MIGUEL HOLDS 3 ON 3 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

Ginebra San Miguel Inc. (GSMI) gives young and promising athletes a chance to be one step closer to their dreams and be like their basketball idols with the first-ever Barangay Ginebra San Miguel 3 on 3 National Championships on June 5 (Sunday) at the SM North Edsa Sky Dome, Quezon City.

A total of 16 teams will vie for the first championship title representing Bulacan, Laguna, Tarlac, Pasig, Quezon Province, Las Pinas, Pampanga, Cavite, Cebu, Quezon City, Rizal, Pasay, Mandaluyong, Davao, Bacolod and Pangasinan. Champion team will receive a cash prize of P50,000, while the runner-up will receive P20,000.

Die-hard basketball fans can also get the chance to meet the players of Barangay GinebraSan Miguel Gin Kings, who will be present to support the teams. The event will kick off with an opening ceremony at 10 a.m. and will close with an awarding ceremony at 5 p.m. Admission is free.

Prior to the national championships, a series of regional qualifying tournaments were held in different barangays nationwide participated by hundreds of aspiring basketball players 18 years old and above, who gamely showcased their talents and skills. The regional winners got the chance to watch the recent PBA Finals live.
